Day 4: One passion in your life.

This is probably one of the hardest questions to answer (which isn’t saying very much of me, since I cheated on the last question). It’s so incredibly difficult to pick one thing, a concrete action or item and name it to be my greatest passion. I’ve felt passionate about a lot of things, probably most things, some fleeting and some lasting. Photography, writing, art, reading, running, nature in general - I’m going to sum everything up by deciding that my passion is aesthetics. I have this intrinsic need for things to be beautiful, to adhere to a universal truth, and if they’re not then I tend to feel like I have to try and make them beautiful and true. I think this translates to the things that I like to do ((try to) write a beautiful story, take a beautiful photograph, run a beautiful race) but also the way I try to live my life. The way I know I had a really, really incredible day or night is if I come home, sit in my bed, and think “That was beautiful.”

(Today was beautiful and true, for the record.)
