Senior slide at its finest: Yesterday I interrupted my English teacher’s sophomore class to pass in 3 late assignments. She says nothing except “I read your piece for the class yesterday when you were out sick! It was incredibly beautiful.” Hey thanks! Also I wasn’t sick I made up a fake doctors appointment and got myself dismissed. Whoops.

Today: school was fine - lately I’m enjoying being there more than at home (the opposite of how it usually is). I get sad when I’m at home hung out with my best friend, which I don’t even think I have to explain is a good thing. we watched Life in a Day, and it is an incredible documentary. I highly recommend it - so beautiful, a little disturbing on a few occasions, and then...

I want to fit in to the perfect space, feel natural and safe in a volatile place. And I want to grow old without the pain, give my body back to the earth and not complain.

It’s hard to appreciate the beauty of the sun streaming in through your window, onto your red bedroom walls and hardwood floor, when you’re not sure if you believe in (lasting) love anymore. My sense of perspective is all skewed and misshapen now.

I feel overwhelmed right now. Family issues occurred last night and have continued into today, and probably will be keeping me company for a while. I just sat on the floor of my kitchen talking to my mom - mostly listening, actually - about problems that don’t seem to come equipped with any solutions. Now all I want to do is nothing and everything. I want to retreat to my bed, sleep until I...

The Sun Also Sets.: How to be better: →
thepinesaredancing: Mean what you say. Tip well. No side hugs. Smile at people. Find reasons for that smile to be a sincere one. Do things because they make you happy, not just because you’re good at them. Suck at things, sometimes. Be sincere. Compliment. Get a dog. Pay less attention to your shoe tops, and more attention to the people in your path. Invest in people. Quit being...
